It seems that it was meant to be a story about a monstrous creature seeking revenge by killing people, that just looking at him they are horrified. Many believed and including myself, that Frankenstein had no reason for killing people. He just killed for no self benefit and no purpose. Until I read the introduction and I realized that the monster wanted to kill his creator because he created him and left him in the dust afterwards...
