I strongly agree with his standpoint because a violent battle won is an opportunity for a non violent battle lost. Although Wendell’s frustration is evident, he, by no means, is fighting this battle unaccompanied. Keeping both audiences in mind when speaking on consideration towards pollution: If you take seriously the knowledge of humans are capable of neighborliness and caretaking, are capable of caring well for the earth for the earth’s own sake and for the sake of their neighbors now and yet to come, and if you know that according to our greatest teachers this neighborliness is expected to us, then you will grieve in knowing that we humans are destroying the earth (Berry 1)...
