He never had the chance to develop skills in adolescence to sustain long term relationships, or become knowledgeable about certain sexual subjects kids learn from one another in social situations. The crisis between identity and role confusion was probably one of the major one's that molded Andy into the person he'd become, simply because he didn't really have career, he just started in an electronics store and never seem to be concerned with doing anything more, until the end of the movie, and also he showed a preference for more childish things, such as his massive collection of figurines, comic books, and video games... displayed 300 characters

He never left the childhood things behind to develop into more of an adult.
To Andy his sexuality wasn't a problem. He was happy with his life and kind of just assumed that after the few disastrous sexual encounters he had had that maybe it just wasn't going to happen for him so he quit trying. As he begins hanging out more and more with his co-workers, all of whom are prototypical male "chauvinistic pigs," he's constantly peer pressured to do the deed... displayed next 300 characters

| Poem (Who She Was)
By Mahmoud Al-Disi
My heart is like a sky whispering to the birds my emotions
they sing for me day and night with the beautiful sounds of the oceans
I love her beyond what words can explain
In her love I am driven insane
She's my gift that god has assigned
her name is carved in my heart and mind
She's the most beautiful angel I have ever met
the one the I think of at every sunrise and sunset
She's the moonlight of my dark long night
I see her love-filled eyes in the sky so bright
I am trapped within the softness of her hair
which brushes against her cheeks and flies in the air
She's the rare flower that I picked amongst millions
I would not sell our love not even for billions
The beauty that I see in her cute little eyes,
makes me feel like I am in the sweetest paradise
But one day I came to realize
that all this was nothing but lies
Her smile tricked me
Her eyes fooled me
and I never knew that her eyes can fool me in this way
and I had never believed that my feelings until now would stay
My heart cried a million tears
I keep it inside; no one sees or hears
I was the one who loved her the most
I am the one who will pay the cost
Like a little child i formed my innocent dreams
wishing that you and I would do the extremes
She killed me a thousand times with her harsh words
that hit my broken heart like a million sharp swords
To my kingdom she immigrated, made my life complete
my queen migrated, left the king wandering in the street
I wake up from my dreams to call her
and send my shattered soul to wake her
I miss her, I want her back
I wish that love have never existed
for love is something that can never be trusted
I miss her, I try looking for her in my heart
My heart that one day she decided to tear it apart
I can't find her, I still miss her

I chose a small part of Hughes words that seems to be pessimistic is:
So will my page be colored that I write?
Being me, it will not be white. (27-28)
This is one of the parts in the poem that sounded a bit negative... |
