In general, the possibilities with Sonar are huge. There are a ton of plug ins, editing and mixing techniques, and you will be able to burn CD's quickly and easily. I still use Cakewalk 8 - which is about 7 years old for many of my band's recordings, and it worked pretty well. I don’t have a lot of experience with Cubase – but I have heard results that are quite impressive. Keep in mind, these are pro-sumer grade software packages. Cakewalk makes a less expensive ‘home’ version, and there is other software, that are easy, free and probably worth checking out before spending a bunch of money on software that is too complex and much more than you may need... displayed next 300 characters
