We never did learn that Adams was offered the job with the King, nor that he was extremely opposed to the protests the colonists were using to hurt the English government. In the show, Adams was portrayed as an extreme loyalist, which I had not seen him as before. This series does an amazing job of showing history not only in somewhat of a more modern perspective, but also in great detail... displayed next 300 characters
