I had seen many pictures that my parents had taken of the Kotel, some of them even of me as a baby with the Kotel in the background. It was a feeling of "coming home" to a place that already had a special connection to me.. Another reason why I was so exited to be there is because the Kotel is a symbol of Jewish survival...
