Finally, on November 11, 2005, I attended my first opera at the New York City Opera House. The opera was "The Barber of Seville." I really enjoyed my experience. However it was a bit overwhelming even though I had read the synopsis prior to attending the opera. Because I spent most of the time looking above the stage at the screen that translated the songs, I found it to be very difficult to follow... displayed 300 characters
