Inspired by the Life magazine photograph showing John F. Kennedy’s daughter Caroline interrupting serious government business by playing in the Oval Office, he appropriately renamed the ship Caroline.
On March 29th 1964, Easter Sunday, DJs Chris Moore and then-unknown Simon Dee announced “This is Radio Caroline on 199, your all day music station”, and Radio Caroline was born... displayed 300 characters
