These were the defining years of my childhood and when I believe I came to understand class. I learned what social classes there are by experiencing a rather high level of life and a rather low level of life as defined by my upbringing and social surroundings...

I know that these two examples aren't two exact moments in my life where I directly understood class differences, but certainly they provided me with different outlooks than what I was raised to believe. I will continue to be biased on social class because it is nearly impossible to experience them all first hand...
