This really shows that he is not all materialistic and does have a heart. This heart is quickly broken when his daughter, Jessica, steals the ring. Unlike other villains, he does not break laws, he is a law abiding citizen. When he wants Antonio killed, it’s within the law due to his “merry bond.”
