The same people would suggest that as a white person I have no place discussing the use of that word among those of the race whom it is used to describe. I fear that I am too young and naive to yet attack the veracity of this belief, but I also feel that as a citizen of this country, that has come so far and has so far still to go, it is imperative that I discuss my own feelings towards the word and iterate my thoughts concerning its place in society...

Personally, saying the word makes me feel, to be blunt, dirty and unholy. I cannot speak for anyone else, but I know that I sense this feeling and from that I can only say that I wish to never say the word. It has become so common in the vernacular of the rap and hip-hop culture that people have begun to lose this feeling...
