Van Gogh is known for his brush strokes and in this piece you can really appreciate them. Nothing in the piece is completely filled in; everything consists of short strokes which are mostly black. The way he makes it look is very unorthodox but this is what makes it so interesting.
This was my first visit to an art museum and it was very memorable... displayed 300 characters
