It's just the same as a classroom running at the speed of the least intelligent kid, which slows everybody else down. So, instead of parents just blocking certain channels, or monitoring what their kids are watching, the TV production companies just censor it all ruining it for the majority and taking away from what could have been an excellent show... displayed next 300 characters
