The Americans gave the Allies the power they needed to defeat Germany and their accomplices. Of course the war wasn't won by the Allies as both sides called it a stale mate, but deep down the Germans knew that if they kept fighting they would have been defeated. So having defeated Germany, what were the Allies aims in drawing up the Treaty of Versailles? The main point for the Treaty was to never have another world war ever again, all the countries in the world agreed that another world war was not needed...
