A closer and painstaking looking at the poem reveals that this suitor is actually arguing a point to his lady: that the loss of innocence does not constitute a loss of honor as mentioned in the last stanza, "Tis true; then learn how false, fears be; just so much honor, when thou yield'st to me, will waste, as this flea's death took life from thee...
